Change w/y and wh/qu pronunciation
The traditional pronuniciation of "w" and "y" is "wuh and "yuh". The "uh" part is referred to as a schwa sound. The schwa is an extra speech sound. Not pronouncing the "uh" at the end of these sounds when sounding out a word enables students to say the sounds in a way the more closely resembles the word being read, increasing the chance that the student will succesfully decode the word. Thus, it is recommended that the "uh" (schwa) sound is not pronounced for the letters "w" and "y". This is the default setting in Word Builder.
